Are you going to have an IELTS or TOEFL speaking test soon? Job interview? A presentation at school or in a business meeting?
Today we are going to talk about 3 common mistakes which you need to avoid during any speaking presentation, test, or business meeting you are going through.
Don’t panic and become anxious:

If you panic before a presentation or speaking to an examiner, you are going to lose your confidence which leads towards uncountable number of mistakes. It doesn’t matter how well are you prepared for this test, once you panic, you get nervous, and you start losing ideas and fluency which will make you lose marks. If you are the type who gets so nervous before a speaking test or a presentation, you need to apply techniques to fight this speaking anxiety, and get the best out of your capabilities.
Don’t memorise answers:

Always make sure you enrich your vocabulary before a speaking test, or a presentation. You need to avoid memorising answers as much as you can. For example, if you are going to take the IELTS or TOEFL test, try to practice topics often asked in these tests with your friends and family in order to become familiar with words you newly learn. Moreover, you can still find a language partner in an online language teaching platform and start learning new vocabulary and practice speaking with native speakers.
Don’t worry if you have an accent

While speaking a foreign language, you mustn’t focus on having an accent. Instead, you should focus on how are you pronouncing words as the examiners will be looking at your pronunciation and if you are speaking clearly and if they can understand you. Treat this almost like a conversation, focus on making clear arguments and giving clear opinion. Practice in the language you are about to speak in, English, French, or even Turkish. And give your opinion about many subjects related to your test, your interview, or your presentation.

Now that we arrived to the end of this blog, I would like wish you a good luck with your presentation, and please let me know if these strategies worked out for you!
